Business Development Manager in Corporate/M&A (m/f/d)

For one of our locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich or Stuttgart, we are looking for a full-time business development manager (m/w/d) for the Corporate/M&A segment.

CMS in Germany is one of the leading economists. We advise large companies as well as medium-sized companies on all issues of national and international economic law. CMS is represented with several hundred experienced lawyers:inside, tax advisors:inside, notary:inside eight major business locations in Germany and internationally.

Strategic further development of our Corporate/M&A business unit (including private equity and venture capital) in close cooperation with the Heads of Business Unit: Identification of Growth Areas and New Business Areas, Development of Ideas to Develop New Topics and Improving Previous Activities Planning, coordination and active driving of business development and marketing measures Opportunity Spotting, Targeting and Mandate Acquisition, in cooperation with the business unit Mandate and client structure analyses, monitoring of market developments and trends, competitive analyses Creation of pitches and presentations, preparation of pitch talks and implementation of client feedback talks Compilation of Annual Reports for Legal Directories Preparation of regular internal strategy meetings, organisational support Control and expansion of the cooperation partner network Budget planning (together with the Heads of Business) Close cooperation with the international team and adjacent areas such as pricing, proposal, events, corporate communications and legal technology

more than three years of professional experience in business development in firms or business consulting (e.g. M&A consulting) Outstanding interest and experience in the areas: M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Corporate Finance Successfully completed studies in the field of economic, legal or political sciences and a comparable qualification Organizational and communication talent and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously fun working in the team, efficient, independent and responsible working Creativity, service and solution orientation Excellent project, team and time management Safe handling of Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft PowerPoint Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
