Research Assistant - Overall Noise Prognosis of Modern Wind Turbines (m/f/d)

The Chair for Wind Power Drives explores the behaviour of drive systems in modern multimegawatt wind turbines (WEA). Research objectives are to increase the availability and energy efficiency of wind energy. Strongly growing rotor diameters lead to the components of wind power plants having to absorb higher dynamic loads. At the same time, however, the components are intended to have as little weight as possible, as a result of which unwanted vibrations can occur in the drive train. These vibrations can spread under certain conditions in the entire wind turbine and be emitted into the plant environment as airborne sound. The RWTH is certified as a family-friendly university. RWTH offers a variety of health, counselling and prevention services (e.g. university sports) as part of a university health management. There is a wide range of training and the possibility of obtaining a job ticket for employees and civil servants.

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place shall be occupied at the next possible time and shall be limited to two years. An extension of at least 1 year is planned, and a further 2 years are planned. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law.
