The Deutsche Tierschutzbund e.V. is the umbrella association of animal welfare associations with 550 animal shelters, which are affiliated to the federal state and which are responsible for the municipalities. Lecturer in „Financial Consulting für Tierschutzvereine/Tierheime“ (w/m/d)

The full-time job is limited to 2 years.

Advising and supporting member associations in optimizing their financial structures, including key figures analysis, budgeting, liquidity management and cost management Preparation and professional support of contract and financing talks with municipalities, veterinary chambers and other relevant stakeholders Strategic and operational advice in the negotiation and execution of service charges with public authorities Participation in the development of financing concepts and rehabilitation plans for member associations Establishment and maintenance of a systematic networking of the advisory services offered by the Federal Association – in particular in close coordination with the internal specialist areas of law, animal care and political work as well as with the associated national associations Data collection and analysis, documentation and technical preparation of financial matters Further development of consultancy tools and action aids for member associations and the concept of financial advice as a whole

Completed studies of the business economy or comparable qualification related to financial topics Openness and high motivation to actively engage in an existing team and to contribute to a trusting and value-adding cooperation with the member associations First professional experience in consulting organisations - ideally in the nonprofit sector or in the public/communal environment Funded knowledge of the identification and interpretation of business performance indicators in the association, the application of appropriate control and controlling instruments, and municipal financing systems Basic knowledge of non-profit, association and general administrative law desirable willingness and ability to work independently on new, inter-disciplinary topics, for example in the area of the tariff regulations for veterinarians and the evaluation of municipal contracts Representative communication and consulting skills combined with diplomatic skills in negotiating situations Responsible, structured and solution-oriented mode of operation Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel and Power Point readiness to regularly travel within Germany (multiple in the quarter) High identification with the targets and values of the German animal welfare association and a good understanding of the challenges in animal welfare
