Head of Toolmaking (m/f/d)

In this position, you take the key responsibility for ensuring that high-load forging and hot forming tools are available reliably, precisely and on time. Guide and further winding of the tool construction with approx. 35 employees (construction, production, maintenance) – including capacity control and competence development Ensure availability of Gesenk and warm forming tools over the entire life cycle – from new development to repair and process optimization Development of tool technologies and the introduction of new machining, testing and maintenance processes (including milling, erosion, heat treatment, welding) Analysis of tool damage, derivation of sustainable improvements and close cooperation with production, AV and quality to increase service life and process stability Control of tool projects (new approaches, optimizations, external service providers), including technical evaluation and approval of tool concepts

Qualification: Technical vocational training with further training to the technician/master (m/w/d) or comparable; a study is welcome but not required Professional experience: Multiannual practice in die making for die-forging / hot forming or comparable forming processes Leadership experience: Professional and disciplinary team leadership in an industrial environment Technology Competence: Good knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, machining and CAD/CAM-based tool design
