Who are we? Around 16,000 people work in pastoral care, administration and social institutions and educational institutions at the Erzbistum München and Freising. On behalf of the archbishop of Munich and Freising, the Ordinariat of Munich performs the tasks of the diocese administration. The Archdiocese of Munich and Freising operates one of the largest IT networks in Upper Bavaria. For over 1,200 locations, around 90 employees of IT are employed every day to ensure the safe and reliable operation of more than 6,500 clients. The Information Systems and Analyses department develops, manages and optimizes information systems to efficiently use data and enable sound decisions.

Advise specialist departments on the potentials of artificial intelligence (AI) and business intelligence (BI) Identification of new technologies and trends, especially in the context of AI/BI, as well as cost- and safety-conscious testing on their relevance and potential for the IT landscape of the Archdiocese Defining IT architecture principles for AI/BI applications in ore diocese Develop, implement and operate AI/BI solutions in cooperation with the specialist departments Organisation, planning and management of IT projects and management of employees:in the project context Ensure data protection, information security and ethical standards for all AI and BI solutions.

completed university studies (BA/Dipl.-FH) of (economic) computer science, data science or comparable completed training with relevant continuing education in the field of artificial intelligence, business intelligence or geoinformation systems Knowledge and experience in the further development of AI/BI/GIS applications and in the organization of large data sets relevant skills in the processing and transformation of data for AI/BI solutions - Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or comparable systems Expertise in Data Protection (KDG) and IT Security pronounced analytical, methodological and conceptual skills Identification with the aims and values of the Catholic Church.
