The Fehmarnbelt region is facing a profound development step: With the fixed Fehmarnbelt reduction, a new European interconnection area is created between Hamburg and Copenhagen. The Interreg project Fehmarnbelt Growth Region (FBGR) is set up here. The aim is to further develop the future German-Danish cooperation strategically, organizationally and legally viable - up to the examination and preparation of a permanent cooperation structure, such as an EGTC or an appropriate alternative. For this demanding task, we are looking for an experienced personality as from 01.09.2026, initially limited to 36 months

strategic and operational management of the project in close coordination with the procurer of the company, the project partner:inside, network partner:inside and sponsor:inside Construction and management of project management including appointment, risk, financial, reporting and quality management technical coordination of supporting project assistance and the involvement of other colleagues in the lead partner as needed Preparation, moderation and follow-up of central project bodies, in particular Political Steering Committee, Project Steering Group and thematic working groups Management of the project phases from need analysis, governance and structural issues to piloting and testing Coordination of German-Danish stakeholder involvement, including municipalities, regions, chambers, universities, economic promotions, associations, companies and licensing authorities Development of sustainable decision-making bases on objectives, tasks, governance, membership models, financing, liability and possible legal forms structured preparation of decision-making needs, risks and options for internal coordination, project bodies and policy decision-making Ensuring the political and administrative portability of interim results, resolution templates and public milestones close cooperation with legal, administrative and other experts: Support of project communication, in particular with a view to transparency, trust between German and Danish stakeholders and visibility Representation of the project in regional, cross-border and specialist policy formats

appropriate study and multi-year relevant professional experience in the management of complex, strategically relevant projects detectable experience in the management of cross-border, international or interinstitutional cooperation projects very good understanding of public administrative structures, political decision-making processes and governance logics Management, Politics, Economy, Science and Civil Society strong ability to analyze interests, identify conflicts early and prepare viable compromises Negotiation, enforcement and clarity in appearance, combined with diplomatic skill and high empathy Experience in funding projects, ideally in the EU or Interreg context high conceptual strength in the development of strategies, resolution templates, process architectures and decision bases intercultural competence, ideally related to Germany and Denmark knowledge of German and English; Danish knowledge is advantageous Regional knowledge of northern Germany and/or eastern Denmark is desirable Readiness to travel on regular dates and events in the Fehmarnbelt region
