Number: MER00041MD The Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for the procurement, quality assurance and responsible design of our supply chains. We work in partnership with around 1500 suppliers in Germany and abroad. Our team: As part of our team, you will contribute to the creation of our products and services, taking into account social and environmental aspects. Whether climate protection, resource conservation or human rights in the supply chain: both the goals of our sustainable business strategy as well as processes and standards are developed, implemented and continuously developed. Raw materials in general and in particular the supply chains of steel, aluminum and battery materials play a central role.

These tasks come to you, among others:

Participation in the implementation of a more climate-friendly (raw material) supply chain within the framework of Ambition 2039

With the help of implementing new environmental requirements for the supply chain and suppliers such as CBAM, CS3D, CO2 reductions, environmental care obligations etc.

Independent processing of demarcated projects and tasks, such as maintaining our climate protection targets in the supply chain, answering the supplier rating CDP (former Carbon Disclosure Project), CO2 evaluations of battery materials, etc.

Monitoring and reporting on the progress of suppliers, including evaluation of the sustainability performance of suppliers, review and follow-up of sustainability requirements

Creation of management presentations and training documents

General research activities on sustainability topics

Independent communication and coordination of facts with other areas in the Group

Programme in the field of sustainability management, social, economic, environmental & natural sciences, geosciences, raw material management or a comparable degree programme Ideally first practical experience in relevant topics Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Teamability, communication skills, self-initiative and ability to independently unlock new facts
