As a link between fleet operators, wholesale and retail levels of Mercedes-Benz AG, it supports customers with competent technical and logistic services around the automobile. We are looking for you as a new team member in our automotive engineering division for our headquarters in Wiedemar. These challenges come to you:

Responsibility for the timely and economic purchasing of technical components

Continuous development of procurement processes and identification of savings potentials

Determining the procurement requirements while balancing stocks

Collection, comparison and evaluation of offers taking into account technical specifications

Market research for the identification and evaluation of new suppliers as well as maintenance of existing supplier relationships including Participation in supplier reviews

Conducting price and contract negotiations

Triggering and administrating hardware requirements and orders

Interface to development, production, strategic purchasing and suppliers

Ensuring reliable goods availability and delivery capability taking into account order quantities, price conditions, procurement costs etc.

Regular examination and follow-up of the project procurement budget

Support in the preparation of technical tenders and specifications

Ideally qualify for this job:

Successfully completed commercial, technical or logistical training – ideally in the automotive sector

Professional experience in technical procurement, preferably in the group environment

Embossed technical understanding

Very good user knowledge MS-Office and ideally in SAP

Knowledge of contract law

Self-employed structured and targeted working methods and high self-initiative

Impressed communication strength and negotiation skills
