Senior Software Engineer - Distribution (m/f/d)

You design and develop scalable backend solutions for processing large amounts of data – with Java or Python / Databricks in modern, cloud-based architectures. You connect internal and external data sources, develop high-performance interfaces and ensure robust, secure data processing throughout the system network. You advise specialist departments to select suitable technical solutions and support the efficient use of existing platforms, data pipelines and software systems. You ensure high technical standards – by automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and the continuous development of the development environment. Together with the engineering team, you are responsible for the stable and reliable operation of your applications, from development to deployment to productive use.

You have a degree in computer science, economic informatics or comparable training. You have a well-founded knowledge of Java and Spring Boot and also have experience in dealing with script languages like Python. You are routined in the use of modern cloud technologies and in the construction of infrastructures (e.g. with terraform) – ideally in the Google Cloud Platform. You unravel microservice-based architectures, implement them and ensure their seamless integration into complex system landscapes. Experiences in the implementation of scalable data processing solutions, such as Apache Spark or Apache Kafka, are advantageous. You think beyond the code: CI/CD, logging, monitoring and quality assurance are of course yours. You bring knowledge about test methods and have practical experience in using common test frameworks. You feel comfortable in a DevOps team and understand “You build it, you run it” as a living attitude. You have good knowledge of German for clear internal communication and very good knowledge of English for work in technical and international contexts.
