This LWL-PsychiatrieVerbund Westfalen comprises clinics, care centres, residential associations and rehabilitation institutes with about 6,400 treatment and care facilities for adults, children and young people. Around 9,250 employees treat and supervise over 180,000 people each year in more than 100 institutions of the LWL-PsychiatrieVerbund Westfalen.

In the LWL-PsychiatrieVerbund Westfalen, the LWL-Universitätsklinikum Bochum with the Klinik fÃ1⁄4r Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Preventivmedizin as well as the Klinik für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie ( Klinik für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie) (Stadt Bochum with the exception of the Bochum-West area) is oriented towards psychiatric and psychosomatic full care (city Bochum). As a clinic of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, it also performs tasks in science, teaching and research. Since December 2011, the clinic has been certified according to the “vocational and family” audit. We also participate in regular external evaluations, including the quality management system of DIN EN ISO 9001.
