The special IT department provides the necessary critical IT infrastructure and complex applications – from network control to the optimization of power imbalances in Europe – all this from its own state-of-the-art data center in Wendlingen. They take responsibility for the dynamic security bill and thus make a significant contribution to ensuring the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of network operation. With the dynamic safety calculation, they expand our forecasts and plans to allow the dynamic behavior of our electricity grid to be considered – and thus the extensive use of renewable energies and innovative equipment such as the grid booster. They are part of an agile DevSecOps team with end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of operation, further development of dynamic security billing and coordination of change and release management. They are responsible for application and system administration, the operation of test automation and database connection. They ensure first and second level support and participate in a changing, additionally remunerated readiness. They work with the technical implementation of new concepts and ideas and continuously develop our complex IT infrastructure.

You have managed complex database-based applications as well as Linux and Windows systems after your studies or professional training in IT. They bring knowledge of automation through scripts or programs. You are familiar with relational databases (e.g. Oracle) as well as virtualized applications and are interested in developing yourself and your knowledge. They are characterized by an independent, structured and analytical way of working, team skills and readiness to learn – if necessary, act flexibly, are helpful and committed. They are motivated to cooperate in the critical IT of power grid operation at the success of the energy transition.
