Optical Engineer (m/f/d)

Conception & consulting: You analyze customer requirements (RFI/RFQ), evaluate the technical feasibility and derive system concepts for optical products.

Technical customer support: As a specialist, you will present technical concepts directly at the automotive manufacturer (OEM) on site and answer specific technology questions.

Design Testing: You organize and run design reviews to ensure the manufacturing, quality and competitiveness of optical systems.

Technology screening: You keep industry trends in mind, adapt new technologies quickly for product design and advise internal development departments.

Interface function: You act as a central link between international customers and internal research and development teams.

Experience: You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in optics design for imaging systems (e.g. head-up displays, lenses, projectors or AR technologies).

Software know-how: You can control common optics design software (e.g. Zemax, CodeV) as well as optical simulation tools (e.g. LightTools, Speos).

Data processing: You are routined in dealing with script languages (such as Python, MATLAB or VB) for efficient analysis and processing of data.

Languages & Communications: Negotiating knowledge of English is essential for international project work (German knowledge is a plus).

Personality: You convince by strong presentation skills, systematic thinking and the willingness to travel business.
