Then become part of our motivated team in the R&D (Research & Development) area. Who are we? We, the Mercedes-Benz Intellectual Property GmbH & Co. KG (Mercedes-Benz IP) are the wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG responsible for the Group’s “DNA” – all the patents, brands, designs and domains that characterise the appearance and guarantee technical progress. To ensure the protection of these, we take care of the IP rights (Intellectual Property) of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Sparten AG and the subsidiaries. We also create contracts for global license business models as well as Intercompany performance relationships. Your tasks As a working student*in, you are included in an agile team of Mercedes-Benz IP and supports our patent professionals in intellectual property management in the field of “Connectivity, E/E, UI/UX, Digital Services, AI Ecosystem”. Timely and local flexibility is also important to us. Your tasks will be in detail: Conducting research with a focus on patent-law issues with the help of research and analysis tools for the initial assessment of invention reports

Working with the creation of patent applications

Examination of patent translations (German-English)

The activity can begin from May 2026.

You study in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a comparable degree course

German and English you can speak and write

Your MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point) are solid

Your person is characterized by an independent and structured way of working, self-initiative, accuracy, team skills

Industrial legal protection, in particular patent, is not a foreign word for you
