As a Product Manager at The Stepstone Group, you'll cooperate closely with other Product Managers, Product Directors, Designers, Researchers, Data Scientists and Analysts, and in partnership with our Software Engineering Teams, deliver products that contribute significantly to our company mission: make successful hires happen. You will be part of a team that has a 'user first' approach and increasing work effectively within a product organization that has a high degree of user obsession, with a discovery led approach for building better products. You'll be expected to initiate prototype and experiment with AI-powered solutions to validate hypotheses and accelerate product development. This is so important to us. Your responsibilities: Product vision: Drive the vision of your products and understand how it is embedded in the overall product and corporate strategy, with particular focus on identifying opportunities that can transform user experiences and create competitive advantages. Ownership: Own the prioritisation of your backlog, the discovery of strategic opportunities, enabling and empowering your team by creating productmaps and consistently with a 'can do' attitude within a context of high alignment and high automation. Rapidly prototype AI-enabled features using available tools and platforms to test concepts before full development. Stakeholder management: This job is an individual contributor role. You will need to be able to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, customers, and key executives, through your use of data and thought process. Communication: proactively drive your communication flow, updates, etc about the status of the development and initiatives to partners and main stakeholders, offering transparency; enthusiastically communicate on your achievements and the product vision. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Comfortable with prompt engineering and AI workflow design. AI assisted coding: experience with prototyping backend data products via assisted code writing, using agents or integrations like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc. For example, you vibe-coded your own AI agents. AI foundational knowledge: Good understanding of machine learning concepts, model training, AI/ML cloud infrastructure, and experience working with data science teams on AI product R&D.
