Enterprise Architect (gn)

Germanywide (remote) | Full time | From now on

As an Enterprise Architect (gn) at SoftwareOne, you create innovative, scalable and future-oriented IT solutions. You are the hub between customer requirements, technical feasibility and operational implementation. The focus of your role is on the design and further development of modern IT services I Managed Services in the enterprise environment – not only in components, but in end-to-end solutions.

You analyze requirements, develop sustainable concepts, evaluate new technologies and ensure the implementation of stable IT services. In the service, you define best practices that you tune and develop with our global center of excellence.

You start with us in a new Managed Service project with the aim of taking over the on premise VDI customer environment in our service, optimizing/developing and transferring it to a cloud operating concept in the long term.

The task area

Analysis & Conception

• Introduction, analysis and evaluation of technical and technical requirements in cooperation with stakeholders
• Discharge of sustainable IT service architectures incl. Documentation (e.g. SLAs, availability requirements, monitoring, backup strategies)
• Development of scalable, flexible services based on modern technologies, architecture patterns and frameworks (e.g. B. Microservices, Cloud-native, SRE, DevOps, etc.)

Technology assessment & innovation

• Identification and evaluation of new technologies (e.g. cloud, automation, AI) with regard to their potential for use in existing customer landscapes
• Development of Proof of Concepts to Validate Technical Innovations

Architecture Governance & Standardization

• Introduction, maintenance and development of architectural standards taking into account ITIL, SRE, ISO 27001 and internal guidelines
• Contribution to the continuous optimization of existing services through analysis and suggestions for improvement

Project & Service Responsibility

• Control of architecture-related (part-)projects including time, resource and budget planning
• Accompanying the operational service implementation in the sense of a consistent architecture quality
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders – from IT to specialist areas to management

Knowledge and skills

• Multiannual professional experience in IT architecture – ideally focusing on service architectures, IT service design and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

• Knowledge of IT architecture methods (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate), combined with experience in SLA/SLO, SRE and ITIL-based processes

• Experience in planning and implementing complex IT services in hybrid or cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, Openshift, VMware, ELK, etc.)

• Specialization on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, both on-premise and in the cloud

• Ability to translate business requirements into innovative and efficient technical solutions

• Always up-to-date technology trends in IT infrastructure architecture and active collaboration of internal best practices in our Center of Excellence

• Embossed communication strength, conceptual thinking and high customer orientation

• Very good German and English skills
