Glenair was founded in 1956 in Glendale, California (USA). Through the successful growth of the company, many sales, development and production sites have emerged worldwide over the years, including England, Italy, Germany, France and Sweden.

Glenair is one of the largest manufacturers of connecting technology. The Glenair team works closely with many well-known companies in the fields of aerospace, defense, railway, marine and offshore. Glenair GmbH has been in Germany since 1983 and is based in Bad Homburg. In addition to its largest sales area in the European Union, Glenair expanded its scope in 2017. Since then, mechanisms and cable sets for the space industry have been developed and produced at the Salem site on Lake Constance. We employ around 150 employees at two locations.

The profession We are looking for 01.09.2026 trainees in the professional image of machining mechanic (m/w/d). The profession: working with modern CNC milling machines and high-quality tools. Manufacture of precision components from various materials by means of exciting methods such as milling, drilling, turning and grinding. In Salem we manufacture mechanisms and cable sets for the Aerospace area. These include, for example, aircraft and satellites.

Duration of dual training: 3.5 years. Dual training The training takes place in the vocational school and in the company. You learn the theoretical foundations and how to produce workpieces made of metal or plastic with the most modern CNC machines in practice.
