ZEISS Microoptics is a unit of the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit specializing in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optical applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements. Your duties As a Head of Launch & Service Management, you can design the entire transition of our machines and plants to customer use – from production location to long-term technical support. You play a central role in the leadership team and develop an organization that ensures smooth commissioning, high plant availability and excellent technical service.

With your team, you will ensure that our products go into operation reliably, run in a stable field and are optimally supported throughout their entire life cycle. This will provide you with a key foundation for industrialization, serial maturity and sustainable customer satisfaction. Your duties include: You are responsible for the entire transition from production to successful commissioning with the customer. These include the development of standardized launch processes, risk and escalation management, as well as coordination of all participating internal and external stakeholders

Customer requirements and field data guide you back in a structured manner to the development and product teams

You develop a sustainable service setup, including training concepts, spare parts and maintenance strategies as well as KPIs for plant availability. At the same time, you establish an international partner network to ensure reliable service coverage and long-term plant support worldwide

You build a team of service, launch and application experts and perform it professionally and organizationally. This includes building efficient processes, tools and structures. In addition, you identify new service offers and business models and work closely with sales and product teams to expand the service portfolio

The successful establishment contributes decisively to the industrialization, series ripening and continuous optimization of our products. Your work is done in close coordination with the company's technology roadmap and pays directly to our success.

Complete technical studies: e.g. mechanical engineering, plant engineering industrial engineering, mechatronics, process engineering or a related area

Multiannual leadership experience in the technical environment, ideal in mechanical engineering, automotive or automation

Successful implementation of launch, service or commissioning projects for complex plants or machines

Known knowledge in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or automotive industry as in the development of replication systems with a very high degree of automation technology

German and English skills and readiness for regular national and international travel activities
