(Senior) DevOps Developer InsurTech (m/f/d)

Support of IT teams: The focus is on the technical support of our six IT teams. You advise on infrastructure issues, support deployments and help if complex problems or technical blockades occur. The responsibility for operating their applications and services remains with the teams themselves. Automation: Recurring tasks are automated – with ansible, own scripts and infrastructure as code you create reliable processes that work without manual intervention. This automation claim defines both system support and cooperation with the IT teams. System support: Together in the two-team, you enter our Debian systems and FortiGate fire – including configuration, hardening, patching and continuous development. Wherever possible, automates your recurring activities. Sparring partners for six IT teams: If our development teams are technically limited, you are their starting point: You analyze problems, develop solutions together with them and share knowledge so that You can solve similar challenges independently in the future. AI in automation: Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT are part of our toolbox – specifically used to target analysis, scripts and automations more quickly. Further development: You are questioning existing setups, bringing your own ideas and, together with your colleague, decide how our automated infrastructure and the technical support of the teams develop.

Education: Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics or a comparable technical discipline. Practical experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in the DevOps, Linux or Systems engineering environment. Tech-Stack: Very good knowledge of Ansible and in the operation of Debian-based Linux systems – alternatively, you bring comparable experience with Chef or Puppet and you want to work in our stack. Automation Mindset & AI-Knowledge: You think in scripts instead of in click sections, master at least one script language (e.g. Bash or Python), naturally work with Git and use AI tools such as Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT where You bring real added value in the DevOps everyday. Supporter gene: You will be happy to help, explain it in a comprehensible way, and you will be delighted to keep colleagues from other teams technically. Team on site: You want to work with us on site in our Hamburg office – page by page with the teams you support. Language knowledge: German language skills (min. C1) complete your profile.
