Head of Business Applications - SAP & Finance Systems (m/f/d)

You develop and manage the group-wide strategy for Business Applications and align them with the business objectives of the Group. You are responsible for the stable operation and the strategic further development of our central business applications, focusing on SAP FI/CO/SEM-BCS as well as adjacent systems. You guide Business Applications professionally and disciplinaryly and continuously develop your team. You actively shape central transformation projects – from SAP ECC to S/4HANA as well as international roll-outs and the further development of our cloud and HR system landscape. You control the entire change request process including prioritization, implementation, testing and acceptance. You are responsible for budget and resource planning and tax external consulting partners and service providers. You accompany the system-side implementation of new customers and new business models. You act as a central interface between departments, IT, external developers, service providers and customers. You establish standards, processes and governance structures for stable and scalable application operation. You identify potentials for digitalization, automation and process improvements together with the disciplines and implement them sustainably.

You have a successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification. You bring comprehensive, long-term experience in the SAP environment – especially in SAP FI/CO – and have good knowledge in SEM-BCS as well as adjacent modules and integrations. You know the operation, support and further development of business-critical applications from practice and have a very good understanding of financial processes, especially in financial accounting, controlling and consolidated financial statements. You bring multi-year leadership experience in a comparable IT/SAP function and understand how to successfully lead and develop experienced and independent teams. You have experience in managing complex projects, resources, budgets and external service providers. You are also looking calm and confident in change situations, setting clear priorities and communicating with your team as well as with disciplines, management and international units. Ideally, you know international SAP roll-outs and the associated local requirements and bring experience from logistics, industrial or service-related business structures. You have a very good knowledge of English and have the pleasure of actively shaping change and dealing with topics such as S/4HANA, Cloud, Automation and modern system architecture. You have a very good understanding of business processes, ideally in the logistics or service environment.
