Head of Asset Management (m/f/d)

You bear the overall responsibility for the asset management of TransnetBW. Based on energy system, market and supply security analyses, you develop target networks, network strategies and resilient decision bases for secure energy supply and design national and European network development – from long-term target network planning to regional location and route planning. From this, you derive network measures and needs, optimize and prioritize them technically and economically and transfer them to specific project orders. Keep in mind system stability and system behavior, develop methods and network models and define strategic requirements for network connection, system integration and network planning. You consistently align the asset strategy with a powerful and future-proof power grid. To do this, you evaluate innovative technologies, resources and operating concepts and define technical standards, planning principles and renewal, reserve and adaptation strategies. You are responsible for the further development of the data, model, tool and IT landscape and manage the network project portfolio including budget, resources, risks, quality and reporting. In addition, you take over the internal contracting role for network and real estate construction projects. As a central representation of the area, you create decision-making foundations for management, bodies, authorities, regulation and network partners and set guidelines for location strategy, area requirements, contract management, construction, renovation and rental.

You have a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, physics or industrial engineering with a focus on electrical engineering and a comparable field of expertise and provide sound knowledge of the energy industry as well as of high-voltage and high-voltage networks. Multiannual management experience in the asset management of a network operator as well as a deep understanding of the life cycle of network occupants enable you to make strategic decisions safe and predictive. Technical-regulatory relationships, the challenges of the energy transition as well as relevant standards, guidelines and legal requirements are as familiar to you as are modern approaches to data and performance management.
