Export Compliance Officer (m/f/d)

As a central point of contact for authorities such as BAFA, OFAC and BIS as well as for internal departments, you are responsible for compliance with all national and international regulations in the field of export control, external economic and sanction law. Their focus is on the requirements in Germany, the EU and the USA. The independent evaluation of export operations shall include the verification of authorisation requirements, such as dual-use, embargoes or sanctions, as well as the monitoring of the entire approval process. Through the intensive discussion of our products, you will take a well-founded classification based on the relevant lists of goods. With a pragmatic view and a clear stance, you name risks comprehensible and show where design spaces exist. Their communication strength helps to understand even complex issues. You are responsible for the further development, implementation and monitoring of the Internal Compliance Programme (ICP) as part of the Group-wide compliance management system. By designing and implementing training, you strengthen the awareness of the employees for export compliance topics. In addition, support is provided for internal and external audits and the continuous monitoring of relevant legal changes.

A completed study of law, economics, economic law, international business, foreign affairs or a comparable qualification forms your technical basis. This is supplemented by relevant professional experience in the field of export control or trade compliance. Funded knowledge in the field of external economic law, such as AWG, AWV or EU dual-use regulation, are part of your profile as well as experience with the US (re) export control (EAR, ITAR) and the US sanctions law. You are also experienced in dealing with authorities such as BAFA, BIS, OFAC and the competent customs authorities. Experience with a compliance management system brings you with or are ready to work quickly into such a system. Knowledge in SAP as an ERP system and export compliance tools perfectly complete your profile. With pragmatic and solution-oriented attitudes, you can clearly identify risks and openly address them without losing sight of possible design spaces. Your communication strength allows you to convey a clear no understandable and value-assurance. German language skills and English skills in C1 level complete your profile.
