Supplier: Chair and Institute of Water Engineering and Water Management The RWTH Aachen University Institute for Water Engineering and Water Management is active in many national and international research projects - often with partners from other disciplines. Our research focuses on groundwater, high and low water, structural and natural water construction, coastal and aesthetic research, water morphology and sediment transport as well as hydropower. In addition to these topics, we are constantly working on exciting new research projects that emerge from current issues. Our institute's experimental hall with over 2,000 square meters of space offers optimal possibilities to develop and operate models for projects on a large scale. The Institute is looking for an employee at the next possible time for the processing of versatile engineering tasks within the framework of short- and long-term scientific projects. Research: You are working on scientific projects that are thematically covered by the Institute's research and consulting profile: The projects require, inter alia, numerical modelling/simulations and the implementation of experimental work and investigations in the institute's own experimental hall. In addition, research assignments in Germany and abroad may be required, depending on the project. Knowledge presentation: Through one-day or multi-day workshops, congress participations and presentations and publications, you can translate our research findings and findings into practice and the science context. At national and international events, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and executives, to develop new ideas and establish contacts. Teaching: For the students of RWTH Aachen University we offer lectures, training events, excursions and student graduates. Our employees supported in the various fields of teaching and thus get to know the core competencies of teaching.

You have completed your university studies (master or comparable) of the field of civil engineering, economic engineering or environmental engineering with the field of water engineering or the environment with above-average success. In addition, you will bring enthusiasm and deep knowledge in the field of water engineering/water management or other water-related topics. The employment is in the employment relationship. The body shall be occupied at the earliest possible date and shall be limited to one year. A further employment of at least 2 years is envisaged. There is the option to extend the place for another 3 years. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job. If desired, parttime employment can be made possible. There is a doctoral opportunity. The grouping depends on the TV-L. The place is rated with EG 13 TV-L. The job description is aimed at all sexes.
