For our Group Strategy & Development / M&A department , we are looking for an Area Director Strategy & Development - Europe (f/m/d). The position is based at our headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. The Area Director S&D - Europe will serve as business partner to the Area Board member responsible for the Group Area Europe and the respective countries. The role will allow to make a significant contribution to some of the Group's most important projects. YOUR PROFILE
University degree in business, economics or engineering (or similar), potentially MBA or PhD level
7 to 10 years of professional experience, incl. consulting, corporate strategy and development functions, and/or corporate M&A roles
Proven ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and to manage, and work constructively within, diverse and cross-functional teams in various cultural contexts
Clear ''getting-things-done'' mentality, i.e. tenacity to overcome independently potential obstacles
Strong quantitative capabilities, very structured thinking, and proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint
Executive level oral and written communication skills
Fluent in English, other languages a plus
