The IEA is an independent, non-profit research organization. We conduct major international and national comparative studies on pupil performance and other aspects of education to explore, understand and improve education worldwide. We are looking for a full-time or part-time (30–40 hours/week) Projektmitarbeiter (m/d) Within the IEA Hamburg, the National Data Management Department is responsible for the logistical and data-related processes as part of the commissioned educational studies taking place in Germany. The tasks include monitoring the entire course of a study, in particular the design and maintenance of the study-related process databases, the creation of printed products for data collection, manual and scanner-based data collection, the creation and administration of online surveys, and finally the preparation of the end data sets and their documentation. The department comprises about 20 employees who contribute to our success through their diverse working priorities and skills. .

Scripts, modification and application of data processing programs in Stata, SPSS and/or R Creation and maintenance of data documentation for school studies (e.g. codebooks, reporting) General data support in creating data sets Processing and maintenance of sample data for school studies in Germany (e.g. IGLU, IQB education trend) Creation, administration and data processing of online surveys Processing of data sets, if appropriate using, for example, R, Python or SQL Communication with internal and external project partners in German and English

Qualified technical or university degree, e.g. in the social science field, Bachelor or specialist market and opinion research First experience in data processing, especially with Stata or SPSS Embossed data affinity Very good knowledge of German and English Careful and independent working Rasche Understanding and Team Skill
