ZeSIA remains a contact point for people with HIV and accompanies them with advice and support. Since 01.02.2023, the AIDS Help Karlsruhe ZeSIA – Center for Sexual Health, Identity and Enlightenment Karlsruhe has been named. The renaming reflects the extended tasks of the consultancy: HIV is now well treatable, and ZeSIA continues to inform about it, but also focuses on the whole spectrum of sexual health.

You see in the advice of clients: (HIV and STI consulting, social and systemic advice, and, if necessary, Supporting people with discrimination experiences) with You work in the “Checkpoint”: support in testing (HIV/STI), performing preparatory talks, accompanying the test offers and aftercare or Subsidiary on demand You work with educational and prevention offers: planning and implementation of workshops and education projects — e.g. B. School workshops, group work, events on sexual health and diversity You can flexibly support various events and public relations: participation in awareness actions, campaigns, information events, if necessary Public relations You work with the official and volunteer team, participate in team meetings and reflect/documentation Your practice phases

Start your studies at the IU with (special) abitur, a qualified professional degree or as a national. Technicians:in/operator:in You can prove German skills according to language level B2 You are interested in sexual health, HIV/STI prevention, education and advice You radiate a high sensitivity and appreciation for diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity You are empathic, have good social competence, as well as good communicative skills — even in busy conversations You are ready for flexible working hours (e.g. in the evening at checkpoint, at events, workshops) You're responsible, you're confidential with sensitive topics and you have a discrete way of working Career prospects: After successfully completed studies, a wide range of perspectives for the future will open to you.
