Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

You design and develop modern backend solutions that efficiently process large amounts of data. You work with Java or Python/Databricks and use cloudnative architectures to build scalable and future-proof systems. You take the technical responsibility in the product team, coordinate the work of the developers:inside and strengthen the team through coaching and mentoring. You set up impulses, keep the technical vision clear and make sure everyone progress together. You support specialist departments with your technical know-how, find suitable solutions and help to use existing software systems efficiently and effectively. Together with your engineering team, you will ensure that your applications are stable and reliable – from the first code line to productive operation. You take responsibility over the entire lifecycle of your applications.

You have a degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable technical training. You have a well-founded knowledge of Java and Spring Boot and also experience script languages like Python. You are familiar with modern cloud technologies and the construction of infrastructures, such as Terraform. Ideally, you already have practical experience in the Google Cloud Platform. You unravel microservice-based architectures, implement them and make sure You are seamlessly integrated into complex system landscapes. It is advantageous if you have already used scalable data processing solutions such as Apache Spark or Apache Kafka. You think beyond the code: CI/CD, logging, monitoring and quality assurance are of course a professional development process for you. You bring well-founded knowledge about test methods and have practical experience in dealing with common test frameworks. You bring knowledge of German and very good English in word and writing. You feel at home in a DevOps team and live the principle “You build it, you run it” as a real attitude – not just as a buzzword. You convince by clear communication, enforcement and a strong problem-solving competence.
