The Office for Social Services Bremen takes over central tasks in the youth and social field and is the largest Bremen civil office. In six social centers as well as the specialist services “refugees, integration and families” and “participation”, dedicated professionals work to support and promote people in different situations of life. The senator for work, social, youth and integration is our umbrella organisation, which is responsible for overarching technical control with two specialist departments and coordinates overall urban social policy. In your role as head of the Youth Office, you take on the professional responsibility for youth assistance as well as for social education and social services in the youth field. They represent the administration and manage the strategic development of the Youth Office in order to make Bremen's social structures sustainable. A comprehensive organisational investigation is currently being carried out, which can lead to structural changes in the organisation of the construction and execution. They support this process constructively, develop sustainable solutions and implement the recommendations that emerge in close coordination with the competent authorities.

Qualification: Qualification for the 2nd entry office of category 2 or a completed university degree (Master/Magister or University Diploma) in social, administrative, economic, legal or political sciences or comparable degrees Compulsively required: Compliance with the requirements of the skilled worker's bid pursuant to § 72 SGB VIII Experience: Multiannual activity in administration and leadership in child and youth assistance Management competency: ability to lead a youth office of this size and to develop professionally and organizationally Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of methods of child and youth assistance and the ability to combine different approaches Management experience: Experience in the planning and implementation of services of child and youth assistance Cooperation: Experience in partnership with free institutions Committee work: experience in relevant bodies, in particular in the Youth Assistance Committee and the working groups according to § 78 SGB III
