The training as a health care provider is a demanding and versatile training in which people with disabilities are supported and accompanied. Healing caregivers work in various facilities such as residential homes, workshops or daycare facilities and care for individual care and promotion of people with disabilities. In training, the incoming curative caregivers acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enable people with disabilities to have the best possible participation in social life. The training usually takes three years and completes with a state examination.

Your tasks In practical and theoretical teaching, you will learn how to understand the behaviour of people with disabilities and react appropriately. You will also learn to identify and address their specific problems and needs. At the vocational school you will be taught basic healing-care content, such as pedagogy, psychology, sociology, medicine and care. These contents are important to develop a well-founded understanding of the work as a cure nurse.

That draws you You've got the middle maturity school. You have completed at least a one-year voluntary social year or an internship in the disabled. You are team-ready and creative. You enjoy dealing with people with disabilities.
