The TIB is a foundation of public law of the Land of Lower Saxony. With around 600 employees and an budget of around 60 million euros, it is one of the largest information infrastructure facilities in Germany. As a German Central Library of Technology and Natural Sciences, our pioneering services ensure the infrastructural requirements of high-quality information and literature supply for research in science and industry. Our services as a university library ensure local care for the Leibniz Universität Hannover. The Technical Information Library (TIB), Program Area B, User and Information Services is looking for a:n Open Access Consultant:in the European context (m/w/d) The place is limited until 31.08.2027. The weekly working time is 19.90 hours (part time, 50%). In principle, the workplace is part-time. The grouping takes place in the 13 TV-L payment group if the personal conditions are present. Leibniz Universität Hannover is a member of the European University Alliance “EULiST – European Universities Linking Society and Technology”, which aims to make Europe experienceable and experienceable for all university members and students. Through their activities, TIB supports the measures in studies, research and administration. Open Access and other research-supporting approaches play a major role. You work closely with three other open access consultants:in the field of publication services.

Conception of Open Access Competence Building Measures in European Networks at Leibniz University Hannover Conception and implementation of teaching and training courses, including seminars (online/offline) for students, teachers and researchers Creation and adaptation of teaching materials for further training Examination of the use of modern forms of mediation

Development of workflows to search for open access content for courses Cooperation and coordination with Leibniz Universität Hannover and its European partners Integration of research-supporting services in EULiST campus, including support for the use of library offers Measures to support Europe-wide cooperation

completed academic degree (Master or equivalent degree) Knowledge of Open Access and Science Landscape Knowledge of research processes, e.g. confirmed by cooperation in research projects (supporting or researching) or doctoral studies Knowledge of scientific publication, e.g. through editorial activities or own publication Willingness to develop and implement own concepts and ideas Communication and cooperation capability excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German Interest to participate in the internationalisation of the university readiness for occasional trips to European countries Remarkable Experience in higher education Experience with the creation of teaching materials Experience with the implementation of training or courses (online/local) Experience with international project cooperation Experience with the placement of open access skills in a professional or extra-vocational context
