At the closest possible time, we are looking for a professionally versed and leading personality as Head of Global Trade Compliance & Customs / Head of Customs & External Economics (m/w/d). In this key role, you are responsible for the strategic orientation and further development of customs and external economic topics, conduct a specialized field of expertise and actively design standards, processes and systems.

Strategic management of the customs and external economic issues of the Group of Companies and further development of the related standards, policies and processes Leadership and further development of a specialized department as well as technical savings in complex customs and external economic issues Ensuring compliance in customs, preferential and external economic law as well as export control including sanctions and embargo issues Assessment of regulatory and geopolitical developments, derivation of appropriate measures and consultation of international business units in demanding import and export issues Responsibility for audits, audits and approval procedures and sovereign communication with authorities and other external bodies Further development of global customs and external economic processes in the SAP GTS environment and active participation of digitalization and automation Preparation of complex risks and recommendations for management and close cooperation with relevant internal interfaces

Completed studies of economics, economics, law, economic law or comparable qualifications Multiannual well-founded professional experience in customs and foreign trade law as well as in export control, combined with experience in overarching management of relevant topics, ideally in an internationally active industrial company Safe handling of complex legal and regulatory requirements as well as the ability to independently evaluate them and transfer them to specific business situations Reliable experience in handling customs and licensing authorities as well as audits, audits and demanding regulatory issues Multiannual leadership experience as well as the professional standing of leading and developing highly qualified experts High digital affinity and experience in the development of processes and systems; Knowledge of SAP GTS as well as experience with international process or system rollouts are advantageous Very good knowledge of English, readiness for international business trips as well as a convincing, resilient and entrepreneurial person with a strong communication and solution orientation
