One of the most important factors contributing to this leadership is the agile vehicle software development in the heart of the new Mercedes-Benz operating system: MB.OS. Our department is responsible for the software development of the Zone Controller Platform (complex ECUs with power distribution, I/O management, gateway functionality, applications for vehicle and comfort functions etc.) for our future MB.OS vehicle architectures as well as the necessary development and optimization of our internal engineering tools and processes. These are designed to ensure efficient software development and help our teams monitor and analyze system performance. The integration of AI technologies plays an increasingly important role. To support our teams, we are looking for a dedicated student (w/m/d). Your tasks: Observability & Monitoring: You support building and maintaining dashboards (e.g. Datadog, Grafana or similar tools) to monitor our system performance, especially in the context of InfraART. Help to gain data-driven insights and identify possible anomalies, including using AI approaches Tool Prototyping & Development: You are actively engaged in the continuous updating of documentation, the development of extensions for our Dev tools (especially for Eclipse & VSCode) and their testing with Testing & Automation: You carry out smaller tests with CANoe and start test scripts, preferably in Capl or Python. You help us optimize test processes and explore opportunities for AI-based test automation Daily Business & Administration: You support the management of Jira tickets and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) The activity can begin from July 2026.

What you bring: Continuous study of computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable technical course First experiences with dashboard tools (e.g. Datadog, Grafana) and/or Observability Stacks (e.g. Grafana, ELK or similar) Knowledge of at least one script language (Typescript or Python) Understanding integrated development environments (IDEs) and their application Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning and their application in software development and system monitoring Willingness to take over administrative tasks (e.g. Jira, ADRs) Self-employed, structured and creative work and team skills Intercultural competence and joy in dealing with people from different cultures Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (at least C2 level) Good knowledge of English for communication with international employees Also desirable are: First experiences in developing VSCode and/or Eclipse extensions Practical experience with CANoe and Capl scripts Contact points with AI frameworks or libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) We offer: A challenging and varied activity in an international environment Flexible working hours that can be easily agreed with the study A young, dynamic and motivated team looking forward to your support Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate, giving the semester and proof of the regular study period.
