Project Attorney – Construction Law (m/f/d)

Contract management Main contract: Current legal support of our framework and work contract (VOB/B) with a contracting entity – from the supervision of contractual obligations and deadlines to the preparation of contract-relevant correspondence to the monitoring of acceptances and performance changes. Subcontractors: creation, testing and negotiation of contractors, planning and supply contracts along our entire value chain and their ongoing contractual support during execution. Subsequent & Claim Management: Legal preparation, examination and enforcement of claims and claims against the client as well as defence and evaluation of claims of the after-contractor side in close coordination with project management and project controlling. Time limits, guarantee & document management: supervision of contractual deadlines, management of contract performance, advance payment and defect claims guarantees as well as maintenance of a revision-proof contractual documentation. Consultation of the project organisation: Central contact person for project management, purchasing and building management in all contractual issues of the current programme, including evaluation of contractual risks and options for action. Coordination of external consultants: preparation and control of cooperation with external firms in complex procurement and construction issues.

Education: Successfully completed legal studies – preferably as a full lawyer (m/w/d) with both State Examina; alternatively as an economic lawyer (m/w/d) (LL.M. / Diploma) with a focus on contract or construction law. knowledge of contract law and ideally in private building law (VOB/B, BGB contract law); Knowledge of procurement law or experience with contracting authorities is advantageous. Professional experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in contract management, in a law firm or legal department – ideally in the construction, plant engineering or infrastructure environment. Working methods: Structured, careful and self-sponsored working methods, strong understanding of economic relationships and solution-oriented thinking at the interface of law, technology and project business. Communication: Safe, binding occurrence to clients, subcontractors and internal departments, as well as the ability to process legal matters in a manner that is appropriate to the address. Languages & IT: native German language skills and knowledge of English for cooperation with international partners as well as very good MS office knowledge. Safety check: willingness and suitability to carry out a regulatory safety check (SÜG) for work in safety-related properties.

Attractive remuneration: A gross annual salary of approx. € 60,000 – € 70,000 p.a. (depending on qualification and experience) in an unlimited fixed position.
