The University Medicine Magdeburg with the locations University Hospital for Pneumology Magdeburg and Lungenklinik Lostau offers the entire spectrum of modern pneumology, including all kinds of bronchological and interventional methods, pneumological allergology, sleep, respiratory and intensive care and various specialty ambulances in a hospital of maximum care with diverse interactions and cooperations. Pneumology and thorax surgery form the university lung center. These structures guarantee a diverse and interesting medical activity. The Department of Experimental Pneumology (PD Dr. rer. nat. S. Stegemann-Koniszewski). If development is to be pursued as a clinical scientist, this will be promoted. There are complete training authorizations for internal medicine (in conjunction with the clinics of the Centre for Internal Medicine), for pneumology, allergology and sleep medicine.
