Training to become an emergency paramedic (m/w/d)

We are looking for new colleagues for our apprenticeship guards in Hövelhof, Lage and Oerlinghausen with whom we want to ensure the first care of patients in the future. An exciting three-year-old training awaits you, in which you get all the necessary basics at our Malteser Education Centre Westfalen in Dortmund and get practical experience at your teacher recovery station and in a hospital. Subsequently, selected candidates (m/w/d) receive an invitation with information on the further selection procedure. This is expected to take place in February 2026 and includes a written test, a sport test, and other practical exercises.

In the three-year training as an emergency suitor (m/w/d), you can run various stations: About 40% of the time you spend at the Malteser Education Centre Westfalen in Dortmund. The theoretical and practical foundations are provided there - from the detection of the situation of use to the medical care of the patients (m/w/d). The same time you spend on your teaching rescue guard. There you collect valuable practical experiences in rescue operations and apply your acquired knowledge directly. The remaining about 20% of the training period will be spent at the hospital as part of internships. Here you get additional insights into acute and emergency medicine and deepen your expertise.

You have a similar degree in the upper secondary school Alternatively, you have completed a successful completion of your primary school and a completed vocational training of at least two years. Experiences in health or social affairs, e.g. through a voluntary social year (FSJ), a federal voluntary service (BFD) or a comparable activity, are advantageous (m/w/d) or rescue assistant (m/w/d) is desirable, but not absolutely necessary For work in the rescue service, you bring a good health basis as well as physical and psychological stress You have a high commitment, readiness to learn and a strong sense of responsibility Flexibility, willingness to use and willingness to provide shiftwork are of course for you You have a valid class B driver's license, it is also desirable to class C1 It is particularly important to us that you have joy in dealing with people, that you can experience emphatically and use your communication strength in challenging situations.
