Transport Engineer for Transport Development and Planning in the Port of Hamburg

The Transport Management Road takes over the public tasks for the operation of the local transport infrastructure in the port area. These include the planning and operation of the lighting systems and public lighting as well as traffic monitoring by the Port Road Management Center (PRMC). We also consider road transport from an analytical and strategic perspective and are responsible for the development of transport in the port. This includes close cooperation with internal and external partners to promote sustainable and future-oriented transport solutions.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You are responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of traffic data and their application for strategic questions. You are responsible for the data analysis and preparation of complex evaluations as well as their interpretation and preparation of recommendations for action for the HPA . You are constantly developing road traffic reporting. In addition, you are responsible for carrying out traffic and traffic bills. You will also participate in the creation, commissioning and testing of traffic tests (e.g. simulations with VISSIM). Your involvement in conceptual measures (e.g. traffic node optimizations, cross-border traffic concepts etc.) is also a varied task.

You have a degree or master degree in the field of construction or transport engineering or a comparable degree course. We look forward to your good knowledge of road and traffic planning/technology. Your practical knowledge of the current specialist IT systems (e.g. LISA, VISUM, VISSIM, ArcGIS) are very valuable for the tasks. You have a pronounced analytical ability and the ability to think connected. You are happy to find solutions and describe your way of working independently and structured. Responsibility and negotiation skills complete your profile.
