About the project The validation of modern driver assistance systems and automated driving functions is now mainly based on defined test scenarios within the respective Operational Design Domain (ODD). At the same time, large quantities of real-time operating data from vehicle fleets are increasingly available, which open up new possibilities for data-driven alignment and optimization of future security strategies. As part of this promotion, you will examine how real customer usage data can be used to quantitatively evaluate the actual relevance and risk potential of different operating conditions and derive more efficient, risk-based validation strategies. The aim is to develop a scientifically sound model that integrates real vehicle use, ODD descriptions, scenario coverage and risk assessments and derives recommendations for action for the targeted planning of future test and validation activities.
