We make port: With great passion, we keep running the infrastructure of the Port of Hamburg around the clock. Within the Technical Division, the Competence Center Area bundles expertise in the fields of water management, combatants, environmental technology and demolition. In our unit, we work on building projects with high expertise as well as cross-sectional tasks and take over services for large-scale projects and other customers. Our unit is characterized by a high performance rate in planning and expert assessment. In the case of foreign assignments, we provide expertly versed control and quality assurance. The professional training of junior staff as well as knowledge transfer and quality assurance in the fields we represent also belong to our tasks. The port area is characterized by changing industrial use and warfare. As a result, construction measures must be handled in a regular manner with waste pollution, pollutant pollution in the reconstruction and warfare. In the field of environmental technology, we introduce our expertise in the planning and implementation of sustainable soil management and ensure the legally compliant handling of contaminated soils and rebuilding materials as well as their correct waste law classification. In the course of the revitalisation of areas, we carry out old-load investigations and risk assessments to refurbishment measures. Our standard tasks include old load monitoring. We are also introducing our expertise in the area purchase in the environmental due diligence. For our field of environmental technology, we are looking for a specialist*in, who can also be used in projects with complex old load situation and refurbishment requirements such as “Shell Hohe Schaar” and “Transformation Waltershofer Hafen”. You can also contribute to the further training of future experts in environmental technology. As a specialist in environmental technology, you will be integrated into our environmental technology routine, which enables professional exchange at a high level. You will work on subsoil contamination and Altlastversichtsfelder projects from historical research to exploration and, if necessary, refurbishment. The creation and testing of hazard assessments and the setting up of work and safety concepts for work in contaminated areas are also part of your task. You design installation concepts and refurbishment strategies, align them with the authorities and implement them, including monitoring the construction and refurbishment measures and the technical assessment of the refurbishment success. You anticipate the waste-law classification for mineral waste and rebuilding waste and set up recovery and disposal concepts in the sense of sustainable soil management. The tendering, control and technical assistance of expert and expert planner services are also among your tasks. In our environmental engineering routine, you can participate in the creation of work aids, leaflets, standard performance descriptions and ZTVs. You are happy to contribute to the training of young scientists in environmental technology.

You have a completed academic degree (Master / Diploma) from the field of geosciences, environmental sciences, environmental technology or a comparable scientific or engineering discipline. You have an expert qualification according to § 18 BBodSchG, a comparable subject or the willingness to acquire it through training and training. Multiannual experience in projects relating to waste, land recycling, soil protection and the disposal of mineral waste is what distinguishes you. You can use knowledge of soil and waste law as well as the relevant rules. You are experienced in the creation of risk assessments and ideally in the creation of refurbishment concepts and the support of refurbishment measures. You work independently, responsibly and safely in complex technical and legal contexts. An analytical, structured and document-proof way of working belongs to your strengths. Communication and consulting skills in the interdisciplinary environment. Team skills as well as the willingness to advance complex topics independently complete your profile.
