Junior SAP FI/CO Inhouse Consultant (m/f/d)

The Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e. V. (MPG) is a self-government organization of science funded by the federal and state governments. At present, it operates 85 institutes and research institutes in Germany and abroad for basic research in science and humanities and is thus one of the leading international research institutes with numerous Nobel Prize winners in their ranks. The MPG founded the new central IT facility Max Planck Information and Technology (MaxIT) on 1 January 2026. This bundles and coordinates central IT activities of the MPG and is a reliable partner for science and administration. It consists essentially of the MPDL (Max Planck Digital Library) and the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) department of the General Administration. As a central institution for IT and library services, it develops and implements strategies and technologies in the areas of digitalization in science and administration, open science, library, publishing, IT infrastructure and IT security. In close cooperation with the scientific institutes and the General Administration (GV), MaxIT focuses on the efficient use of modern digital tools and technologies to sustainably promote digital transformation in science and administration. At the closest possible time, the SAP FI/CO Inhouse Consultant (m/w/d) department is looking for a Junior SAP FI/CO Inhouse Consultant (m/w/d).

You support the advice of the specialist areas on issues related to SAP FI/CO and S/4HANA Finance and gradually take on their own topics You actively participate in the factory conversion of the existing SAP-ERP system and collect first project experience in a large transformation project You then accompany the Greenfield building of a new S/4HANA system and learn about modern methods such as Fit‐to standard, Clean‐Core approaches and Fiori-based processes You support the inclusion and analysis of requirements and the creation of solutions You perform customizing tasks under the guidance of experienced colleagues and work closely with internal teams and external partners You create documentation, support for tests (functional, integration and user tests) and help prepare Go‐Lives You take over tasks in the 2nd level support and continue to develop in perspective towards 3rd level expertise

This place is suitable for professional beginners A completed study of (economic) informatics, business management or a comparable qualification First contact points with SAP FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance – e.g. B. through internships, student work, final work or first professional experience Basic understanding of business processes, ideally in accounting Interest in modern SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP BTP or data migration Joy of analytical thinking, structured work and cooperation with specialist areas Willingness to continue to train and take responsibility Good knowledge of German and English
