Number: MER00047KL Our center is responsible for the quality of Mercedes-Benz Cars' work and delivery in European and South African plants and helps to ensure the highest quality standards. Our goal is to create transparency about the quality of products and processes, to make mistakes sustainable and to inspire our customers with excellent delivery quality. Our teams work on diverse topics along the quality chain, from analyses, audits and measurement technology to complaint management and action management to digitalization and transformation. We support production and delivery sites worldwide and actively shape the future of our quality management. In the Transformation & Controlling team we accompany the strategic development of our center. Together with specialist departments and executives, we develop target images, drive change initiatives and create the basis for a future-oriented factory QM. We understand transformation not only as a change in structures and processes, but as an active design of the future role of our teams and organizational units. As part of the ongoing development of our center strategy, a special focus is on post production, which is already taking on key tasks in the areas of action management, quality assurance, quality releases, digitization, international quality control and transformation. At the same time, new technologies, increasing complexity and global requirements change the expectations of the future role of post production. As part of your Master's thesis, you will address the question of how Post Production can develop strategically and how it will contribute to the implementation of the Center Strategy in the future. The aim is to develop a strategic target for post production and to derive concrete transformation measures for the future orientation of the organization. Challenges: Independent processing of a strategic issue with high relevance for the future orientation of our Center Conducting analyses, interviews and workshops with experts and managers Development of target images, strategy options and transformation concepts Structured preparation of complex relationships Creation of management presentations and decision templates Development of a strategy roadmap with concrete implementation modules Close cooperation with the team Transformation & Controlling and the field Post Production Presentation of your results in the management environment

Possible research questions: What role should Post Production play in the future within the Center and the worldwide quality network? What strategic skills and competencies are needed to meet the future requirements successfully? How can the department strategy be systematically linked to the higher-level center strategy?
