IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager (m/f/d) for the area of training and further education

For the IT of the training workshop/centre training and further training (ZAW), we are looking for a responsible person who ensures the ongoing IT operation in a stable manner, understands technical requirements of training and gradually converts the existing IT infrastructure into the future-oriented EWE-IT landscape.

The position is limited by the end of 2029 and is suitable for part-time – with best prospects within the EWE Group. You ensure that servers, clients, network, security, special devices and training software work reliably – and you develop the ZAW-IT in a structured manner towards standardization, security and integration into EWE-IT.

IT role: You take a central IT role with high visibility for training, trainers (w/d/m) and trainees Option: You have the opportunity to modernise an independent IT landscape in a sustainable manner and to actively transfer it to EWE-IT A wide range of technical tasks in the areas of infrastructure, clients, network, security, backup, monitoring and special technology awaits you Design playroom: You get a lot of design playroom in standardization, automation, documentation and lifecycle management Collaboration: You work directly with internal stakeholders, central IT functions, service providers and manufacturers This is what awaits you: IT operation: You are responsible for the stable IT operation of the ZAW, accept disruptions and service requests, prioritise and process them for employees, trainers (w/d/m) and trainees and document measures, status information and open points Training systems: training systems, special machines and training-specific devices including PC/network connection as well as relevant software for trainers (w/d/m) and trainees ZAW-IT: You continuously evaluate ZAW-IT with regard to stability, security, scalability and viability, identify standardization, modernization and automation potentials and implement suitable measures in a structured manner Server: Physical and virtual servers including capacity and performance monitoring, as well as central basic services such as Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, File/Print Services, Certificate/RADIUS Services and License Servers Target image: You are looking for a sustainable modernisation target, accepting ZAW requirements, assessing their implementation in EWE-IT and is responsible for the gradual transfer of ZAW-IT to EWE-IT Lifecycle Management: You plan and control patches, maintenance windows, reboots, version levels as well as EOL/Lifecycle measures and ensure backup, recovery, restore tests and loadable restart plans Network infrastructures: You operate firewall, LAN and WLAN infrastructures including VPN, web filters, control system maintenance and configuration backup and implement security measures such as curing, encryption, AV/EDR, security monitoring and risk-reducing configurations Collaboration: You work with internal stakeholders in security, compliance and data protection requirements and take responsibility for security, availability and operational stability at key points

Qualification: You have a completed IT training with further qualification, an IT degree or a comparable qualification as well as a well-founded practice in IT operation Experience: Width technical experience with Windows client/server operation, Active Directory, Group policies, DNS/DHCP, File/Printing services, Virtualization, Backup/Recovery and Restore testing brings you with Handling: You are sure to use network, WLAN, firewall, VPN, certificates/RADIUS, IT security as well as patch/update management, monitoring, documentation, lifecycle/eOL and structured error analysis Practical knowledge: You have experience with software distribution, MDM, client rollouts, license management, IT procurement as well as ITIL-close service processes, change/rollback planning and provider control Willingness: You bring the willingness to incorporate into training-specific applications, special machines and production-related IT, as well as a view for stable operation, modernization and standardization with Working methods: You convince by a structured, solution-oriented and reliable way of working with clear prioritization, transparent communication and active information on critical topics Responsibility: You have a high sense of responsibility and the willingness to take responsibility for IT security, availability, data protection and the further development of ZAW IT at central points Security review: Your application will help you confirm your willingness to participate in the security review required for the activity
