Coordinator (w/m/d) Research Infrastructure ''KIAOS'' Area IV - Natural and Built Environment (BL 4) 4 years from now on Full time 69.700,00 to 86.200,00 EUR gross per year

You design the construction, operation and the strategic and conceptual development of KIAOS. You coordinate the KIAOS team from technical employees (data management, software development, instrument integration) and improve interfaces to modelling, data assistance and AI-based evaluation as well as research data management. With other scientists: support and coordinate scientific campaigns in the field and laboratory. You actively participate in the recruitment, monitoring and coordination of third-party projects around KIAOS. You control the KIAOS budget and the achievement of agreed milestones, and provide address-oriented reporting to the inside and outside. You represent KIAOS within KIT, in the Helmholtz Association and at specialist events and strengthen national and international networking. You provide an attractive external representation and support the establishment of the “KIAOS” brand.

completed university studies and doctorate in a relevant scientific field multiannual experience in science organisation, project management, operation or management of large research infrastructures Experience in the organization of scientific measurement campaigns and in research data management, ideally also in the use of machine learning methods Expertise in handling complex measurement infrastructures and scientific standards strong communication and organisational ability as well as excellent cooperation in interdisciplinary teams very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing the ability to effectively combine scientific and technical issues
