The BAW examines solutions for repair under basically running shipping operations or during daily short shipping interruptions. Within the framework of this expertly challenging project, the entire range of repair solutions under operation is to be considered, from the selection of building materials to the construction design to the evaluation under partnership cooperation. The project is currently in the transition from the planning phase to the execution phase, with component tests stored later being planned. The cooperation of contracting entities and contractors is based on the innovative allocation approach of “Plans and Constructions”. This is mainly done in various working groups, in which the planners, construction companies, the supervised new building office and their consulting engineering offices, the GDWS and the BAW are represented as an advisory institution of the new building office.

You accompany the ongoing execution planning in close cooperation with the responsible new building office. You support the practical implementation and support of component tests under the pilot project. You process application-oriented research questions within the project and introduce their own professional impulses. You contribute to the further development of an information system with modular solutions and transfer knowledge from national and international projects into practice. You take responsibility in working groups and actively participate in them – together with all project participants in the context of the construction process as well as in the evaluation of the component experiments.
