In this role, you actively contribute to the success of ABB in the fields of technology, software, product and system development. You identify daily relevant challenges and develop innovative and practical solutions. Bring your expertise, share ideas and work both independently and in the R&D team.

You are mainly responsible for:

Own-sponsored cooperation in research and development projects with clearly defined tasks and low technical guidance, including the work in in interdisciplinary program Assemblies. Development and implementation of technical solutions in the respective field (e.g. mechanics, electronics, thermals or software), from the development of concepts and technical requirements to design, implementation and integration to testing and handover to operation. Ensuring compliance with relevant development processes, technical standards and design specifications as well as their consistent application within the Assembler program and in the project context. Responsibility for the achievement of agreed project objectives with regard to quality, dates, scope and costs as well as active management of technical risks.

At least 10 years of professional experience in embedded software development with assembler and C, including sound knowledge in Z80 assembler, ASIC-based systems and Z80 debugging methods (e.g. use of logic analyzers). Complete study of computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject area as well as deep technical understanding of software development for control and embedded systems. German and fluent English knowledge in word and writing and the ability to communicate safely in technical and interdisciplinary contexts. Self-motivated, self-motivated working and safe working in an agile team environment, combined with strong analytical skills, pronounced problem-solving competence and a high level of readiness and willingness to exchange knowledge.
