Radio Obsolescence Manager - Tactical Secure Communications (m/f/d)

You move at the interface between technology, product life cycle, procurement and service and actively design solutions for discontinued or difficultly available components. You monitor electronic components, assemblies and accessories in terms of terminations, product change notifications and end-of-life notifications. You analyze manufacturer information and evaluate their impact on delivery capability, repairability, service processes and product availability. You identify critical components with increased risk of failure, availability or procurement. You check spare parts, alternative components and follow-up products with regard to technical compatibility, usability and implementation. You develop appropriate measures such as Life Need Buy, inventory management, alternative releases or prompt changes. You prioritize measures according to technical critique, cost, availability, application relevance and impact on our customers. You maintain obsolescence lists, action plans and status overviews and prepare decision bases for technical and economic evaluations. You work closely with development, product management, purchasing, logistics, quality assurance and service and actively contribute your technical assessment to cross-disciplinary decisions.

You have a completed study of electrical engineering or a comparable discipline; ideally with a focus on high-frequency/message technology. You provide a good understanding of the construction and functioning of electronic components and assemblies, in particular in the fields of HF/analog and digital technology. You can analyse, evaluate and derive from technical datasheets that can be stressed. Ideally, you already have experience with manufacturer terminations, end-of-life processes, product change notifications or obsolescence management. You think analytic, work structured and keep track of multiple parallel topics. You are happy to take responsibility, drive themes forward independently and agree with different disciplines in a solution-oriented manner. You bring team spirit, communication strength as well as a pronounced cost and quality awareness. Very good knowledge of German and good English allows you to communicate safely in the national and international environment.
