Teamlead Product Testing & Engineering (m/f/d) Castrol

In this position, you guide the mechanical test rigs department and ensure that the agreed services are reliably provided to support our gear oil development projects.

You develop and optimise new test bench tests as well as test procedures and thus actively contribute to the further development of our products and technologies. Compliance with the highest standards in the areas of occupational safety, health, safety and environmental protection (HSSE) as well as the consideration of local legal requirements always have top priority.

If necessary, you can carry out test bench tests yourself and bring your technical expertise directly into practical implementation. In addition, you are the central contact person for internal and external customers when it comes to test procedures and the interpretation of test results.

In your role, you work closely with the global technology organization in Pangbourne and promote technical exchange in an international environment.

Your new task environment – safe, challenging and forward-looking:

You are responsible for the strategic development, planning and efficient utilization of our test benches. You deliver, interpret and document test data for the development and release of Advanced Electrification Fluids. You develop and establish new test methods and test bench concepts for differentiation of our products. You ensure compliance with HSSE,CoW, quality, compliance and legal requirements. You report possible violations of product quality, safety and compliance You plan resources, budget and KPIs for the test stand area and control its performance. You represent Castrol and the Technology Function in specialist bodies, industrial circles (e.g. FVA) and external presentations. You protect and develop the intellectual property of our test methods and test procedures. You work closely with global technology teams as well as internal and external partners. You run a team of test stand engineers:inside and supporting their professional and personal development.

Higher education in mechanical engineering or for many years, relevant professional practice in the lubricant/additive industry Multiannual professional experience with lubricant formulations and their applications Multiannual operational experience in handling internal and external customers Tribology expertise Technical knowledge of transmission technology Communication strength High commitment and motivation Customer and performance-oriented thinking and acting Very good English skills in word and writing Very good knowledge in project or task management Embossed HSSE awareness Analytical thinking Objective-oriented approach
