City Manager - Key Cities Germany West

Your role in us As a regional manager: in West Germany you are responsible for the performance of several metropolises on the Rhine, Main and Ruhr and develop them like a separate business field. You control growth, profitability and market position in your region and ensure that marketing, sales, logistics and commercial work along common priorities. You do not think in individual measures, but in growth levers, experiments and scaling. You identify opportunities, prioritise resources and ensure that successful approaches are implemented quickly throughout the region. Success in this role means: You move people, teams and decisions in a matrix organization and create sustainable growth across several cities.

These are some of the main components of the role: Business Ownership: Overall responsibility for regional performance and control of central KPIs (order volume, market share, conversion, partner performance).

Strategy & Execution: Development of regional growth strategy and priority and impact-oriented allocation of resources across cities and customer segments.

Growth Management: Data-driven optimization of the region by testing and experiments and subsequent scaling of successful measures.

Cross-functional leadership: Functional leadership and alignment of interface teams (marketing, sales, logistics, commercial, strategy) to ensure operational implementation.

Partner & Supply Development: Identification of key partners and close cooperation with specialist areas to increase supply quality and customer relevance.

Reporting & Accountability: Sovereign Presentation of Performance, Risks and Growth Potentials in Management Meetings and Business Reviews.

What are you doing?

Entrepreneurial Mindset: You act as “Entrepreneur:in the Group” – strategically thinking, pragmatically acting and fully responsibly in a dynamic, fast environment.

Experience: Multiannual practice in strategy, consulting, commercial/general management, marketing or controlling complex, cross-functional programs.

Data & Growth Drive: Strong data-driven mode of operation, secure KPI analysis for decision-making and (ideally) experience with experimentation and performance control.

Stakeholder & Matrix Leadership: Strong leadership through influence and credibility (even without disciplinary responsibility); capable of aligning various stakeholders on common goals.

Problem-solving competence: Strong in structuring complex issues, recognizing regional market opportunities and consistently driving operational implementation.

Nice to have: Experience in the platform, e-commerce, technology or gastronomy environment as well as in the management of growth programs, transformations or turnarounds.

Languages: You speak fluent German and English. Other languages are of advantage, but no need.
