Employer (m/w/d) für die Familienzentrum Geibelstraße in Bremerhaven(Social pedagogy / educator / comparable qualification)

The family centre is a central part of the municipal prevention chain in the area of early aid and closely linked with corresponding support structures in the district. It is aimed in particular at families with small children (U3), pregnant and becoming parents. It is understood as a low-swell place of encounter, advice and education.

The area of responsibility includes:

• Implementation and documentation of weekly offers in the context of early aids (e.g. parental cafés, parent-child groups, open meetings), organisation of offers for parental education and health promotion
• Low-swelling advice and family support, in particular in burdensome situations, intercultural relationship work, transfer to childcare services
• Early recognition of support needs and mediation in further assistance (loose function)
• Strengthening parental competences and promoting parents-child relationship
• Establishing sustainable relationships with families in the social area
• Close cooperation with actors of early aid (e.g. youth assistance, healthcare, counselling centres), cooperation with the kita and network work in the Lehe district (Goethequartier)
• Participation in the development of the family centre as part of the prevention chain (evaluation, cooperation in the AK of the family centres)
• Public relations (weekly schedule, press; district festivals)
• Acquisition and management of donations and funding

You bring with:

• Complete study of social education / social work or training as an educator or comparable qualification, ideally parental supporter
• Commitment to joint planning to implement needs-oriented offers of early aid
• Team skills, commitment and an open, value-adding appearance
• Ability to work independently and structured
• Interest in conceptual development and reflection of one's own work, training
• Willingness to guide volunteers and interns
• Basic knowledge in the field of child protection, social benefits, media competence
• Class B licence
