Educator / social worker, therapeutic youth residential care (m/f/d)

Senior Consultant (w/m/d) From 01.04.2026 or after a joint agreement, we are looking for an educator in parttime with 30-35 hours/week (w/m/d) for the therapeutic youth group “SOMIT” in Berlin - Neukölln (part of Rudow). For six young people aged 15 to 21 years, the facility offers an intensive community of 24h-living, care and therapy. Accompanied by an interdisciplinary team of educators, social pedagogues and psychotherapists, the young and young adults master their everyday life, gradually approach their themes and develop a life perspective. Your duties As an educator/social pedagogical specialist (m/w/d), you are responsible for the educational support of young people and the support of the therapeutic work, including through individual and group talks, crisis intervention, preparation and participation in help conferences and the organization of the everyday life of the group You support the development of an appropriate school and professional perspective and the further necessary steps of self-employment You work with parents and competent authorities, in particular youth offices, schools and other institutions You create development reports and work documentation Your profile You have a state-of-the-art recognition as an educator or a comparable degree as a social pedagogical specialist, such as, for example, medical education, childhood educationin, educationalistin You are ready to perform an activity in the 24h shift operation You like to work in the team and consider the joint coordinated work as an enrichment You are ideally bringing together first experiences in stationary aids for education according to the SGB VIII, like in the field of “Therapeutic Housing Groups” (TWG), but we are also very pleased with professional starters. You are ready to independently acquire specialist knowledge, e.g. to psychiatric disorder images, and to work into the TWG workstation It is easy for you to actively engage in the relationship with mentally strained young people and young adults while reflecting their own personalities What you can expect from us Remuneration: Our salary system is coordinated with the works council and is between 3344,29 and 4533,20€ (corresponding to the TV-L in the country of Berlin); plus shiftwork allowances for night work, weekends and holidays Working hours: The service planning takes place together with the team and offers free space for individual wishes.
