IT Security System Engineer (m/f/d)

You work in the IT Security team to secure and further develop IT security at the research centre. Depending on qualifications and interest, you are active in the following areas: Operation and development of the central firewall systems CERT: Detection and processing of safety incidents, information on vulnerabilities Development or Development of tools to ensure IT security and automation of routine tasks of the IT security team Regular check of the security state of the server and client systems in the FZJ with suitable tools cooperation in the planning, implementation and operation of new services to improve IT security in the FZJ; Evaluation of new hardware and software technologies and products Support for the research centre's IT security officer

You have completed a full Bachelor's or Master's degree, e.g. in Computer Science, (Techno-)Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a subject-related discipline You have experience and knowledge of IT security and one or more of the above-mentioned tasks You are interested in working on new techniques and topics You have a structured way of working and the ability to cooperate cooperatively You have fun working with users and partners (in German and in English) to develop communication/IT security solutions You are ideally familiar with the administration of macOS, Linux or Windows You also have knowledge in one or more script languages at best You have very good English skills, both oral and written (at least B2 level after the GER), ideally proven by a certificate.
