The SIT operates a high-performance municipal broadband network consisting of a wide-ranging network of over 104 directional radio links and around 1,800 km of optical fiber lines. In order to further expand the region's digital infrastructure, it is planned to connect additional municipal sites to this modern broadband network. In order to support this, we are looking for specialists who strengthen us in the administration, maintenance and maintenance of the components as well as in the concept, project and execution planning around the SIT broadband network.

You work in the operational network operation of our data center and contribute significantly to ensuring the stable and secure operation of the SIT broadband network infrastructure. Successfully completed studies in the field of IT and Network technology or completed vocational training, e.g. as a specialist informatics (m/w/d) for system integration, news engineer, communications electronics (m/w/d), or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience Knowledge gained in network operation, especially in the handling of broadband technologies (e.g. directional radio, glass fibre) and microtik routers Practical experience with network techniques (e.g. dynamic routing, firewalling) Routine use of network monitoring and error analysis tools (e.g. SNMP, CheckMK, Syslog) Experience in handling network documentation tools, CMDB systems or ISMS Embossed team capacity and initiative as well as careful, structured and reliable operation readiness to work physically and to occasional operations outside the normal working time (e.g. for planned maintenance windows)
